INTRODUCTION
Before strating , I’m going to define the word progress. The Progress enables the world to evolve, to change for being better, to grow through scientific discoveries and innovations or technological and social advance.
However, this development is not always a good thing. Progress is also marked by the development of social inequality, the destruction of the planet, and more ....
This is why some progress are being questioned. Therefore, we may ask if the progress is always a progress. To begin with, we're going to talk about the Scientific Progress. Secondly, we will see the technological Progress and finally, we will debate about the social progress.
I.SCIENTIFIC PROGRESS
When we think about Scientific progress , we generally think about medical advances; and this is what we are going to talk about. On the document called “ Science babies “, extract from the book “Brave New World” written by Aldous Huxley in 1932, we can see a major medical advance, which is cloning. Indeed, on this document, the character related as the director of hatcheries and conditioning is presenting to some students the fertilizing room. On this room , they are thousand and thousand of embryo, and the particularity of them is that they will grow up as thousand of identical twins.
In a society like that, everyone would be the same and we would lose our diversity, so , this is why, according to me , the scientific progress apply to humans isn’t a real progress.
II.TECHNOLOGIC PROGRESS
We will now deal with the technological progress. Since the beginning of humanity, the humanity steadily developed thanks to technological advances. For example on the picture called the march of progress designed by mister Wuerker, we can see the different progress in relation to the means of transport. We can see that first, human beings invented wheel. Then they used horses , trains, cars and finally electrics cars. These innovation allowed human beings to travel faster and to make commerce all around the world.
In my opinion, the technological progress is a real progress. It allowed us to live better every day and we can easily say that most of the job on the planet are related to it.
III.SOCIAL PROGRESS
Finally, we will now speak about the social progress, and especially about the social progress in the twentieth century. During the twentieth century , women gained many rights. For example , in 1903 M.Curie won a nobel prize. It was the first time that a woman can win this prize. In 1936 , three women entered on the governmentand and finally, in 1944, women obtained the right to vote in France. It was a major social progress.Furthermore , in 1948 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is right wich allowed in 1981 the abolition of the death penalty.
In my mind, the social progress is an important progress which result from the technological and scientific progress. The revolutionary innovation push people to change the way they live.
By changing the way they live , new inequalitys grow which leads to a social progress.
CONCLUSION
To conclude , we can say that as long as the scientific progress does not apply to humans, the progress is most of the time a real progress , something good for humain.

For example on the picture called the march of progress designed by mister Wuerker, we can see the different progress in relation to the means of transport. We can see that first, human beings invented the wheel. Then they used horses then trains, later on cars and finally electrics cars and maybe one day in a spaceship! Who knows?.These innovation allowed humans to travel faster and to make trading around the world much easier.
In my opinion, the technological progress is a real progress. It allows us to live better every day and we can easily say that most of the job on the planet are related to it.
III.SOCIAL PROGRESS
Finally, we will now speak about the social progress, and especially about the social progress in the twentieth century. During the twentieth century , women gained many rights. It was a major social progress.Furthermore, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights allowed in 1981 the abolition of the death penalty. In that era, men realised that everyone had an equal intelectual potential and that women ought to be able to be as good as men.
In my mind, the social progress is an important progress which result from the technological and scientific progress. The revolutionary innovation push people to change the way they live and adapt to their social environment.
By changing the way they live , new inequalities grow which leads to a social progress.
CONCLUSION
To conclude , we can say that as long as scientific progress does not go in the way technological and social progress, it is generally a real progress. So in order for humans to keep on doing breakthroughs in the way we live, we have to progress in everything we do weither it is technologically, scientifically or socially.
