It is very hot in Delhi during the summer. So many people go to some Hill Station in summer. During the last summer vacation. I had a trip to Kashmir. It is a heaven on earth. It is a land of wonder and beauty.
 My father was given a family pass by Air India. We enjoyed peace in the lap of nature. We forgot all about the world of cares and worries. We visited the Shalimar and Nishat Gardens also. It looked as if we were amidst spring season. There were grassy lawns and beautiful flowery beds. There are many fountains and fruit trees.
We also enjoyed beauty of the Dal Lake. We saw floating gardens there. We saw house-boats and shikaras. We hired a shikara and remained at the lake for some time. It was a novel experience for me. We also visited many springs in Kashmir. The water of these springs is very good for health. It sharpens the appetite.
Then we visited Pahalgam. It is a nice camping ground. It is surrounded by hill on all sides. Deep valleys filled us with wonder. We had snaps of the snow covered peaks of the hills.We stayed there for a month. We left the place most unwillingly. The beauties of nature are green in my mind.
